Cripple Creek Cloggers is a membership organization for cloggers in the Madison, WI area. The organization offers lessons in clogging, club dances, and has an exhibition team who perform in shows and parades.
Cripple Creek Cloggers has been in existence since October of 1982. Formed by 10 square dancers who thought they’d like to incorporate clogging steps into their formations, the clogging soon became more popular than the square dancing.
The Cripple Creek Cloggers offer beginner clogging classes each fall, typically beginning in August, for 15 weeks. Graduates of the beginner lessons are eligible to join the club. After completing intermediate lessons (offered each spring semester – starting in January), new members are eligible to try out for the exhibition team. A club dance (open to all club members) is four times each semester.
